You have the choice to give through your bank account or through a credit card and can set up recurring donations. The fees we incur for donors giving through a bank account are lower than giving with a credit card. Because of this, more of your donation is received by Bethel and put to work if you choose to give through a bank account.
If you are being asked bank security questions during the process, this is because you’re actually logging in to your bank account in order to give from it. This information never is transferred to Plaid or Planning Center servers and is encrypted in a way that neither Plaid nor Planning Center never has access to this information on their servers.
Some members have reported difficulty using Plaid to access their bank accounts. If you encounter difficulty or don’t want to verify your account using your bank login credentials, you can verify your account using your account/routing numbers. To do this, you can search for “Manual” and then click this button to Link with Account Numbers:
